BACK TO 42nd ST

The Seven Ravens Project is back on rehearsals at The New 42nd Street Studios. This is the second round of rehearsals by The New Victory Theatre's residency LabWorks. The company will be back for the final round of rehearsals in June, and perform a workshop version of the play THEN.

The New York Times made a video about the amazing The New 42nd Street Studios a week before The Seven Ravens Project started rehearsals, showing how the studios operates and how many wonderful shows rehearse at that space, like "Hamilton", "Frozen", "Mean Girls", "Pretty Woman" and many others. Check out the video on this link!

THE SEVEN RAVENS PROJECT

Juliana and the Soledad Ensemble just had their first week of rehearsals at the beautiful New 42nd Street Studios in Times Square for the development of The Seven Ravens Project, a physical theatre piece that tells the story of a little girl who goes on an epic journey to find her brothers. The ensemble group will be back at the same studio for another week of rehearsals at the beginning of April. The Seven Ravens Project is part of the LabWorks residency from The New Victory Theatre in NY.

PERFORMANCE

Juliana just passed the second week of June at The Barn Arts Collective, developing and performing "The Seven Ravens Project" directed by Marisol Soledad. Take a look at the article from Mount Desert Islander about the performance!

The Seven Ravens Project is a theatrical adaptation of the Brothers Grimm tale, The Seven Ravens, a story of a young girl's epic quest to reunite with her long-lost brothers and reverse a curse.  Her journey takes her past the edge of the world and through the cosmos, where she encounters the sun, the moon, and the stars.  The Seven Ravens Project mashes up this fantastical Grimms' tale with the true, heroic, tragic and triumphant stories of contemporary child migrants and refugees across the world.  Featuring a diverse cast of women physical performers, and incorporating song, movement, puppetry and projections, The Seven Ravens Project sheds light on one of today's most pressing sociopolitical issues through the lenses of allegory, fantasy and play.  The Seven Ravens Project is directed and conceived by Marisol Soledad and features Kaitlin Kaufman, Rachel Jarvis, Miaojuan Chen, Maya Carter, Grace Bernardo, Juliana Suaide, Ana Cantorån Viramontes, and Brianna Mireya Espinal.  The work will be developed in 2017 at Drop Forge & Tool Creative Residency in Hudson, NY and at the Barn Arts Collective in Maine
